here are some movies i enjoy (and their rating out of ten) to judge my reviews by. these are not necessarily my favourites and definitely not the only good movies and may change; these are simply some movies that i thought were above-average.

--kill bill (vol. 1 and 2): 8.5/10
--memento: 8/10
--pulp fiction: 8/10
--the godfather: 9.5/10
--sympathy for mr. vengeance: 9/10
--oldboy: 8/10
--eternal sunshine of the spotless mind: 7/10

here are some movies that i find vastly overrated; essentially, movies everyone seems to love but i hate. i usually think these movies are simply decent and nothing to contact the press about. however, i still admire and respect these movies for what they have achieved.

-harry potter so far
-lord of the rings trilogy
-spiderman 1 and 2 (however, i am really looking forward to 3)
-pirates of the caribbean 1 and 2 (especially 2)
-collateral
